BIO

 

Kwasi Harshaw (b. 1999) is a photographer and filmmaker based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

His photography has been described as vibrant, introspective, and exquisite. His photo work primarily consists of portrait, street, and documentary photography. As a photographer, he ensures that every frame tells a story and has an emotional connection with the viewer.

In 2020, his work was featured in Hendrix's, Windgate Museums exhibit, "Let us March On". 

 

His films discuss social issues through the eyes of BIPOC, with a particular focus on Black women. His narrative direction helps draw the viewer to the unique and interesting characters in his films. He likes experimenting with naturalistic and experimental/colorful lighting.

 

Besides being a writer/director he is also a cinematographer, editor, and colorist.

In 2021, he graduated with a BA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He majored in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Motion Pictures.

He is currently a photojournalist/editor for KARK 4 and FOX 16 News.
